Please see below an outline of the Entry process:

If you would like a chance to see your Photos displayed at our Festival on our Virtual Reality Art Galleries, this is the place to get started. Just follow the simple steps:

1. Submit your work

If you are a practising Orthodox Photographer, you can submit up to 5 photos online. The works ought to be of an original concept, design, and execution framed or unframed. Photography categories include Landscape Photography, Portrait & Everyday Life Scenes.

Cropped images with a resolution of no more than 100 dpi and dimensions of approximately 2000 × 2000 pixels should be optimised for the web. We like them to be stored in jpeg format. If you are unable to optimise them, we will have to charge you an additional £5 each artwork due to the time involved.

You are invited to submit information and a picture if you are planning a webinar for the Festival. There is a limit of one application per person. The offer is priced at £15. To include a webinar you'll have to resubmit your application, but this time you'll just have to complete the webinar portion.

2. Enter the artworks details and upload the appropriate images *(Click on the arrow at the Gold box below to be directed to the form).

We'll also require all of your contact information, a link to your website if you have one, and a brief bio. If the artwork is for sale, remember to mention the selling price as well as the precise measurements of the artwork, including the frame if one is present.
***Please bear in mind that, although the website has been translated from English into Greek for your convenience, we will prefer Submissions in English, however we can reply in Greek.


3. Pay your entry fee 

Entry is £5** per artwork and £15** for Webinar, and you may submit up to five artworks. You will pay this online once you submission was accepted. If you cannot pay online, send us an email to explain the situation and pay by cash or bank transfer.

**Please note that to avoid sending refunds for failed entries, we will inform you if your entry was successful at the end of the submission deadline. If you are successful, we will notify you to pay your entry fee. Thank you. 


   What happens next?

The Exhibition will be made up of digital pictures of artworks that will be organised into categories for the exhibition. We will review your entries and notify you as soon as possible if you have been selected. Then, on the "Successful Applicants" page, you must pay the admission fee online. Based on our previous experience, we will choose the manner of placement. Your artworks will be shown in Virtual Reality Galleries and in a website portfolio for those who are unable to see them due to outdated computer systems.


The Orthodox Arts Festival's Photography Excellence Award 2021 will be given to a photographer who have shown exceptional skill and piety. We think that great artists exist in many fields, therefore we invite all artists of all ages and career paths to contribute work, whether they are students, graduates, full-time or part-time, amateurs or professionals. We will present a diploma and a cash award to the winner at a later date, since we are now in the process of recruiting a number of sponsors. Our Judging Panel will evaluate the entries.


The entry fee once successful is non-refundable.

You must submit your digital entry form by August the 1st, 2021, at the latest. We will not accept any late submissions.

*Bare in mind that we have a limited space in our Galleries so to make sure that you are included send your artworks as soon as possible.
