LITERATURE ENTRY FORM
Please see below an outline of the Entry process:
If you would like a chance to see your Stories or Poems or Books displayed and promoted at our Festival, this is the place to get started. Just follow the simple steps:
1. Submit your work
If you are a practising Orthodox Author or Poet you can submit up to 2 Short Stories (it could be extracts from your book) or Poems up to 3500 words (more or less) online. Choose your category who belongs with your practice. We have 3 categories, Non Fiction, Fiction & Poetry. If you are a Publisher or a Bookstore and want to promote and sell your recently published Books (up to 3 years) on our Orthodox Library Page, you may submit up to 5 Books.
Files should be optimized for web. We prefer them saved as PDF files.
2. Enter the details and upload your files (see the form below)
We need all your contact details, a short Biography, and a few words to describe your entry. In the case of Book promotions on our Library page, all information about the Book and Author and a hyperlink to your website or online shop if you have one or instead your contact details.
***Please keep in mind that though the website is translated into Greek and Russian from English for your convenience, we can only accept Submissions in English. In the same Spirit, all Literature works must be accompanied by an English translation.
3. Pay your entry fee
Entry is £5** per Work, if you are an Author or a Poet and you may submit up to two works. If you are a Publisher or a Bookstore the Entry on the Library promotional section of the Festival for for a Book is £15** (your promotion runs until the end of December 2021). You can pay this online when you submit the form. If you cannot pay online, send us an email to explain the situation and pay by cash or bank transfer.
**Please note that to avoid sending refunds for failed entries, we will inform you if your entry was successful at the end of the submission deadline. If you are successful, we will notify you to pay your entry fee. Thank you.
What happens next?
The Exhibition will be compiled from the digital files, from which we will organise in categories for the Exhibition. We will review your entries and notify you as soon as possible if you have been selected. Then, on the "Successful Applicants" page, you must pay the admission fee online. We will decide the manner of placement and presentation based on our experience.
The Orthodox Arts Festival Literature Prize 2021 will be awarded to an Author / Poet that show great talent, engaging ideas & a relevant, inspirational message. We believe that great Authors / Poets still exist, so we call everyone regardless their age and career paths, whether student, graduate, full-time or part-time, amateurs or professionals, to submit works. To the Winner, we will offer a cash Award to be determined in a later day as we are in the process of inviting a number of sponsors. Entries will be judged by our Judging Panel.
The entry fee is non-refundable.
You must submit your digital entry form by August the 1st, 2021, at the latest. We will not accept any late submissions.
